Teach English In Thailand

Teach English Abroad

After visiting Thailand many people fall in love with it’s seductive charms. For most that means that they will definitely be re-booking another Thailand trip sometime in the near future, but for others they simply HAVE to be there, whether it’s for a few more weeks, months or even years. The main problem that most of these people have is:
1: They don’t have enough money to stay on an extended vacation.
2: They cannot just get a job and stay as the law forbids it.

This usually put’s pay to most peoples dreams and they reluctantly make their way home. Some of course try and work illegally, but usually this is short lived as taking jobs away from Thai nationals is frowned upon and as such the authorities tend to hear about such things rather quickly and harsh penalties apply to those caught doing such things. But really getting a job in Thailand is extremely difficult to do as the laws on immigration are very strict.
One way to stay and work that is not out of the reach of mere mortals is to teach English. Thai’s are eager learners and there is a growing demand for English teachers in Thailand as more and more schools are opening up. Usually the rule is that only English can be spoken in an English class which is even more attractive to the majority of “Farang” that choose to pursue this career as most only speak a little Thai if any at all.
The pay isn’t too bad by Thai standards either and you can certainly live quite reasonably over there on a teachers salary. One thing you will need though is a TEFL certificate to legally teach English. They are reasonably easy to get, can be done online and are not that expensive to sit.
