Chiang Mai is located some 700 kilometers north of Bangkok. It is known as Thailand’s second city and is the capital of the northern provinces. Indeed Chiang Mai is one of those cities that attract plenty of part time and full time expats with its excellent value for money, agreeable climate ( Chiang Mai’s climate is tropical but cooler and less humid than elsewhere in Thailand) and laid back atmosphere.
